Gray's friends encouraged her to begin using social media. Gray has had much more success with this platform than her peers. The mother of her daughter even installed the app in order to track her. Loren's fame with musical.ly also spread to other social media platforms. Random people started reacting to her music videos, and even making compiling Gray's musical.ly videos for YouTube. Gray's acquaintances were not thrilled over her accomplishments. They took a stand against her instead of supporting it. A few of her acquaintances even removed their accounts and began bullying Loren. Loren stated in her UPROXX UPROXX: "They'd write awful things, saying that I did not possess talent, that I'm rude, and that I've been working on. I was albino. I was anorexic. Loren's mother began to be concerned over Loren's mental health and pulled her out of the classroom. It was too much for her to watch her daughter suffer in school because of her peers.
